The Little Angel Theatre is committed to working with children, young people, adults and families, both through schools, at the theatre and in the local community. We are developing innovative projects to improve access to our work, offer opportunities for participation, and stimulate learning and creativity for all using puppetry.
"The project was a wonderful cross curricular piece of work which promoted drama and speaking & listening in particular. The children got a lot from joining in, not least social skills and teamwork." Jacqueline Ray, St Mary's Church of England Primary School
Children of all ages, and their families have had fun participating in puppet making at the theatre and in the community since 2002. Regular projects include Saturday Puppet Club, Children's Fun Days and Family Fun Days. We have also run bespoke projects in community settings for Sure Start and for Summer Holiday Play Schemes. In 2007 we launched a new club for young people aged 12 -16, called Puppet Academy, as well as our classes for Adult Beginners.
"Can there be a more educative performing arts venue in London, given than Little Angel does education and training at so many levels? ... Learning and development at every level. Deeply inspiring and something which many another small venue could emulate". Susan Elkin, The Stage, 2009 |
