Commercial Sales and Operations Manager

The Commercial Sales and Operations Manager is a key role, collaborating closely with the Executive Director and the wider organisation. This position is responsible for driving commercial returns across diverse income streams, which are vital to supporting the charity’s financial viability.

Technician

The Technician will be working under the supervision of LAT’s Production Manager to ensure the smooth running of the technical department. As well as providing technical support to our wide-ranging programme of shows, you will also work as a duty-technician and be responsible for decision making when the sole member of technical staff on site.

Stage Manager on A Squash and A Squeeze UK tour 

Dates: There will be  2 x contracts – ideally the same person, but recognise that this may not be possible
  1. 08th – 21st Feb 2026
  2. 28th March – 31st May 2026
Rate: Paid at ITC minimum rates of £601/631
All travel and accommodation paid outside of  the M25 – PD’s paid at ITC rates when in accommodation for less than 5 nights
Touring team is 2 x Stage Managers, 3 x Cast Members
Driving a LWB or Luton will be required on tour (shared with other SM).

Volunteering, Internships and Work Experience


We aim to offer work experience or placement opportunities to students in further or higher education as part of their course or study programme where possible. We are unable to offer internships or work experience to anyone outside of a formal education programme however we welcome applications from volunteers who play an integral part in supporting our work. More details about all of these areas can be found below.

Further/Higher Education Placements


We work closely with drama schools and universities to ensure opportunities for young people to gain professional experience in the industry. We offer a limited number of placements in multiple departments for further or higher education students. These placements are offered based on the needs of the team and are subject to our schedule of programming and projects happening at the time of application.

We have close relationships with a number of higher education institutions that we offer placements to. If you are a tutor at a higher education institution that we are not currently working with and have students that would be interested in placements please do get in touch at info@littleangeltheatre.com.

Schools Work Experience


We are unable to offer school work experience to Year 10 or 11 pupils unless they have a direct link with the theatre via our local community programme or Spectrum Youth Theatre.

Volunteering


We are looking for volunteers to act as Workshop Assistants for Saturday Puppet Club, Youth Theatre, Community Crafternoons, Schools workshops and other Community and Participation events.

We are currently unable to offer volunteering opportunities for other roles or departments within the theatre. However, we are looking to review our volunteering programme, so when you complete your registration form it would be useful to know your other interests in case further opportunities arise in the future.

Background Information

Please note that some posts at Little Angel Theatre that work closely with children (i.e. working within the Education Team) are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and you are required to declare all convictions regardless of whether or not the time limit has elapsed. Also please be aware that as part of the checking procedure, if you are successful in your application you will be required to undergo an DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
(It is the policy of The Little Angel Theatre that all our employees and volunteers who have direct contact with children are checked by the DBS. Having a criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the position and the circumstances and background of your offences.)

For posts that are exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974:
