Visitor Experience Assistants
We are looking for candidates who will bring energy and enthusiasm to every single shift.
No experience is required; training will be offered for the role. We are particularly interested in candidates who have an interest in puppetry or children’s theatre.

Volunteering, Internships and Work Experience
We aim to offer work experience or placement opportunities to students in further or higher education as part of their course or study programme where possible. We are unable to offer internships or work experience to anyone outside of a formal education programme however we welcome applications from volunteers who play an integral part in supporting our work. More details about all of these areas can be found below.
Further/Higher Education Placements
We work closely with drama schools and universities to ensure opportunities for young people to gain professional experience in the industry. We offer a limited number of placements in multiple departments for further or higher education students. These placements are offered based on the needs of the team and are subject to our schedule of programming and projects happening at the time of application.
We have close relationships with a number of higher education institutions that we offer placements to. If you are a tutor at a higher education institution that we are not currently working with and have students that would be interested in placements please do get in touch at [email protected].
Schools Work Experience
We are unable to offer school work experience to Year 10, 11, 12 or 13 pupils who are under the age of 18 unless they have a direct link with the theatre via our local community programme.
Volunteering
We are looking for volunteers to act as Workshop Assistants for Saturday Puppet Club, Youth Theatre, Community Crafternoons, Schools workshops and other Community and Participation events.
We are currently unable to offer volunteering opportunities for other roles or departments within the theatre. However, we are looking to review our volunteering programme, so when you complete your registration form it would be useful to know your other interests in case further opportunities arise in the future.
