Our Story of Stories workshops for KS2 are the perfect introduction for children in years 3-6 to developing storytelling skills in order to increase proficiency in Oracy and Literacy.
Story of Stories is the perfect introduction for children in years 3-6 to developing storytelling skills in order to increase proficiency in oracy and literacy.
Join the book ‘Story of Stories’ and discover the ways we’ve shared our creativity throughout history. Starting with cave man Ugg, and how they used cave paintings and gesturing to share their thoughts, all the way through to William Shakespeare and his use of words and poetry. All this is explored with the wonderful puppets made at Little Angel Theatre team.
A storyteller first performs an interactive show in the classroom, using puppets, props, and music to help children understand exactly why we tell stories. After the performance there are two workshops to choose from to continue the fun.
With this show and workshop we also provide a teachers resource. This includes 7 session plans to teach students to make their own puppets and set, aid oracy skills and craft their own stories across a range of subjects.

Show and Oracy Workshop
The children work together to tell their own story collaborating on characters, settings and plots. The group then bring the story to life through a performance.
Time needed: Half a day per class

Show and Puppet Making Workshop
Encouraged to explore their own creativity, each child will make their very own Story of Stories book puppet and learn how to perform with it to share their own stories.
