Singing and Voicework for Puppetry
Two-day workshop: Saturday 21 - Sunday 22 March
Duration: 10am - 5pm both days
We’ll be looking at how you can combine singing and voicework with puppetry in this two-day weekend intensive led by singing and voice tutor Aimee Leonard. We’ll look at how important looking after your voice is as a puppeteer, and how a puppeteer’s body can be put under extra strain in compromising physical positions when puppeteering and how this affects the voice. We’ll also look at how we can alter and support our voices when creating characters who sing or have extreme character voices.
Aimee Leonard offers her expertise to actors, singers, speakers and business leaders. She is an Estill Mentor and Course Instructor, folk singer, musical director and choir leader, working in theatre, community projects and coaching individuals. With a strong focus on practical and effective coaching, Aimee provides personalised mentorship, online and in-person sessions, and group tuition.
Please note that that when you book a place, only the start date and time is shown on the booking system, but your ‘ticket’ covers the full event as detailed above.
