Little Angel Theatre’s OFFIE award winning Children’s Puppet Festival
Jam-packed with shows and workshops for all the family and adults too!
We are delighted to announce the return of our Children’s Puppet Festival which will take place across both Little Angel venues this summer from 2 August – 1 September 2024. The vibrant programme will showcase a broad range of puppetry by the most exciting UK and international companies currently making theatre for young audiences.
There will also be plenty of opportunities for everyone to take part, with workshops for families, community events, fun days for children and courses for adults to try out the craft of puppetry.

Dogs Don't Do Ballet
Biff is not like ordinary dogs. He likes moonlight. And music. And walking on his tiptoes. You see, Biff doesn't think he's a dog, Biff thinks he's a ballerina…
The sublime and the ridiculous combine in this hilarious story of a small dog with a big personality and even bigger dreams, brought to life using beautiful puppets, well-loved ballet music and dazzling theatrical comedy.

Rosie Robin and the Christmas Post
Blending puppetry, physical performance and song, this gentle, magical, heart-warming show tells the story of one tiny Robin determined that no one is forgotten this Christmas.
Aimed at ages 2-5
The Singing Mermaid
One day, the singing mermaid is tempted away from all of her sea creature friends and her peaceful home at Silversands to join a travelling circus. The audiences love to hear her sing, but the poor mermaid was tricked!
Will she ever escape? And who will help her along the way?

Our Spring Shows are arriving to your living room very soon! Bring ‘Prince Charming’ and ‘The Curious Rat’ to your home this July (see individual shows for exact access times) with our digital films!
Tickets cost £7 per household and will give you access to the film for 48 hours. You can watch the film as many times as you like during this period.

Angel’s Little Explorers
Join Angel’s Little Explorers on an adventure through the alphabet in Little Angel Theatre’s weekly playtime for our smallest theatre goers. An object centred session which allows babies and toddlers to engage their senses to explore the world around them in a light, fun and creative way.

People behind the puppets
Over the past 60 years, a huge range of designers have brought their unique puppet designs to life on the Little Angel Theatre stage.
In this new online series, Little Angel’s very own Little Angel puppet will meet and interview several different designers to find out more about their experiences of puppetry design and why they love working in the field.
Bertie
Bertie… is our brand new first-ever digital series!
Bertie is an environmental entertainment and education series or children aged 3 to 8 on LAT’s YouTube Channel. Children will learn about different environmental issues and consider how they can take their own steps to help combat climate change.
All puppets and set have been designed and made using found and recycled materials – LAT is committed to environmental sustainability in our actions as well as in our content.
