Large Scale Puppetry

Forget little! This two-day intensive will cover what it takes to work with Large Scale Puppets as a performer, especially in outdoors settings. This weekend course is open to any individual with an interest in big puppets and outdoor performance and is suitable for beginners or individuals with minimal experience in large scale puppetry.

During the course participants will explore:

– Basic puppetry principles and techniques.
– How does this evolve when working on a larger scale?
– Building a big puppet with simple/found resources.
– Working as an ensemble to bring our giant puppet to life.

This course is practical and will involve physical movement and also work outside in the elements. Therefore it is necessary participants are of a physically and well fit state to participate fully.
