Puppet Construction Course - Table Top Puppets
with Peter O'Rourke
18+
Duration: 5 days
This 5-day course looks at the puppet as a mechanism. Working from a prototype, students will make a puppeteer-friendly, robust, table top puppet – and along the way learn about the principles that underpin its construction.
Using stencils provided, they will be guided stage-by-stage through the process of making their own copy; working with a range of materials including birch ply, Styrofoam, steel rod, dowels, elastics and plastic piping. This course is equally suited to beginners and those who want to extend the range of their technique
All materials will be provided and the course is limited to six participants
